Ethical principles of publishing articles
After submitting an article to the Payame Noor University journal management system, an email will be sent to all authors informing them of the article's registration. The inclusion of authors' names in the article signifies their essential role in its preparation. If authors did not have a role in drafting the article and their names have been misused, they should immediately inform us via the received email. All authors of the article are responsible for the authenticity of the work. The right to evaluate cases of scientific misconduct and discredit the article rests with the journal's authorities.
After submitting the article to the journal system, under no circumstances will the positions of the first authors, corresponding authors, and the number of authors change.
Scientific misconduct takes various forms, including:
- Registering others' articles under your name;
- Including the names of authors and researchers who did not have a role in the article;
- Copying or repeating significant portions of others' articles (if the copied article belongs to one of the authors of the new article, this is also considered plagiarism);
- Presenting the results of others' research as your own;
- Repeatedly publishing articles with similar content by a single author in multiple journals;
- Stating incorrect results and misrepresenting research findings;
- Using invalid data or manipulating research data.
Cases of scientific misconduct will be legally addressed by the journal's authorities based on the extent of the misconduct, as follows:
- The article will be rejected, and if published on the journal's website, it will be removed under any circumstances.
- The names of all authors of the article will be listed in the university's Payame Noor journal blacklist.
- Legal action will be pursued by competent judicial authorities, including disciplinary boards and legal authorities.
- A formal letter detailing the case of scientific misconduct will be shared with other relevant universities and domestic and international journals.
- A formal letter will be sent to the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, the Islamic World Science Citation Center (ISC), the individual's place of employment, universities, institutions, journals, and any place where the authors have used the publication credit of this article.
- This journal respects the ethical standards in publications and adheres to the Code of Conduct for Journal Editors (COPE) and the executive regulations of the law on preventing and combating plagiarism in scientific works.
- The processing and publication fees for the article will be received according to the university's regulations, as stated on the main page of the journal portal.
